"Death Of Samantha" is a song written by Yoko Ono and released on her third solo album and second double album called "Approximately Infinite Universe" released on 8 January 1973 in United States and 16 February 1973 in England. Recorded in autumn 1972 with John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band, it is her most successful album and more cohesive. It represents a departure from the experimental avant garde rock of her first two albums towards a more conventional pop/rock sound, while also dabbling in feminist rock.
