Optical Illusion - paper diamonds are different colors, or are they? Tube. Duration : 0.95 Mins.

The diamond shape is typical of organic shapes found in nature such as scales on a reptile or fish and also in manmade creations such as shingles on a roof. Our brain recognizes the pattern and associates it with objects that are overlayed on one another, thus having depth. This simple demonstration examplifies that not all that we see is as it really is. The paper is all the same color and shade, there is no fold or surface curvature to reflect light and give the illusion of shadowing. What you see is what your mind tells you to see.
