Overtime, it faded to a boring brown color (as you may have noticed, the bottom half of my hair is a brownish color xD) This year, I wanted something more apparent. I didn't have a desired shade in mind, but I wanted some kind of brownish red. So I went to Wal-mart and got a Revlon Colorsilk Light Ash Blonde hair dye box. I didn't know how it would react with my virgin black hair, but I wanted to take a risk anyways; & I DID! ( I'm so lucky it didn't turn out in an brassy orange color like most blonde dye on black hair would be. My color is some sort of a medium brown; I'm not too sure. It's different in various lighting. Outdoors, it's light brown; indoors, it's medium brown; sometimes, it's reddish or even golden o__o; But I LIKE IT! So here are a few tips for you if you wanna dye your hair at home: 1. Do some research! Make sure your hair color is compatible with your skin tone. 2. Make sure your hair is unwashed (for 2 days or so) before you dye it so your natural hair oils will help to protect your hair from the chemicals and minimize the damage.
